Roger Federer reached another milestone in his career becoming just the third player in the Open Era to reach the 1,000 match win plateau. And Federer did it in fantastic style beating Milos Raonic 6:4, 6:7(2), 6:4 to win his first Brisbane title, 83rd overall.
The world number two becomes the third man, after Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl, to secure 1,000 ATP wins.
Roger Federer has now won at least one tournament every year since 2001, an unbroken run spanning 15 seasons.
