Historically, R&D expenditures as a percentage of GDP in Mongolia reached an all time high of 0.337% in 2008 and an all time low of 0.093% in 2019. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, R&D expenditures as a percentage of GDP in China amounted to 2.40%, 0.126% in Kazakhstan, 0.089% in Kyrgyzstan and 1.10% in Russia in 2020.
