Historically, R&D expenditures as a percentage of GDP in Lithuania reached an all time high of 1.16% in 2020 and an all time low of 0.492% in 1996. When compared to Lithuania's main peers, R&D expenditures as a percentage of GDP in Belarus amounted to 0.549%, 1.79% in Estonia, 0.706% in Latvia and 1.10% in Russia in 2020.
