Historically, R&D expenditures as a percentage of GDP in the World reached an all time high of 2.63% in 2020 and an all time low of 1.94% in 2007. When compared to World's main peers, R&D expenditures as a percentage of GDP in China amounted to 2.40%, 3.14% in Germany, 3.26% in Japan and 3.45% in USA in 2020.
