Historically, proved reserves of natural gas in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 100 trillion cb ft in 2008 and an all time low of 65.0 trillion cb ft in 1997. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, proved reserves of natural gas in China amounted to 164 trillion cb ft, 0.200 trillion cb ft in Kyrgyzstan, 1,688 trillion cb ft in Russia and 65.0 trillion cb ft in Uzbekistan in 2015.
