Historically, proved reserves of natural gas in Bahrain reached an all time high of 9.00 trillion cb ft in 1980 and an all time low of 3.25 trillion cb ft in 2002. When compared to Bahrain's main peers, proved reserves of natural gas in Iran amounted to 1,201 trillion cb ft, 63.5 trillion cb ft in Kuwait, 872 trillion cb ft in Qatar and 294 trillion cb ft in Saudi Arabia in 2015.
