When compared to Afghanistan's main peers, proved reserves of natural gas in Iran amounted to 1,183 trillion cb ft, 19.2 trillion cb ft in Pakistan, 0.200 trillion cb ft in Tajikistan and 265 trillion cb ft in Turkmenistan in 2017.
