Production of passenger cars fell 6.53% to 19,994 thousand in China in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, production of passenger cars in China reached an all time high of 24,807 thousand in 2017 and an all time low of 165 thousand in 1992. When compared to China's main peers, production of passenger cars in India amounted to 2,851 thousand, 6,960 thousand in Japan, 1,261 thousand in Russia and 1,927 thousand in USA in 2020.
