Production of passenger cars fell 35.1% to 37.1 thousand in Philippines in 2020, according to ACEA.

Historically, production of passenger cars in Philippines reached an all time high of 57.2 thousand in 2019 and an all time low of 36.4 thousand in 2015. When compared to Philippines's main peers, production of passenger cars in China amounted to 19,994 thousand, 551 thousand in Indonesia, 181 thousand in Taiwan and 125 thousand in Vietnam in 2020.
