Historically, production of passenger cars in the USA reached an all time high of 6,614 thousand in 1994 and an all time low of 1,927 thousand in 2020. When compared to USA's main peers, production of passenger cars in Canada amounted to 328 thousand, 19,994 thousand in China, 6,960 thousand in Japan and 967 thousand in Mexico in 2020.
