Production of passenger cars fell 19.9% to 1,801 thousand in Spain in 2020, according to ACEA.

Historically, production of passenger cars in Spain reached an all time high of 2,403 thousand in 2004 and an all time low of 1,506 thousand in 1993. When compared to Spain's main peers, production of passenger cars in France amounted to 928 thousand, 452 thousand in Italy, 221 thousand in Morocco and 211 thousand in Portugal in 2020.
