Production of motor vehicles fell 39.5% to 1,316 thousand in France in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, production of motor vehicles in France reached an all time high of 3,666 thousand in 2004 and an all time low of 1,316 thousand in 2020. When compared to France's main peers, production of motor vehicles in Belgium amounted to 267 thousand, 3,742 thousand in Germany, 777 thousand in Italy and 2,268 thousand in Spain in 2020.
France has been ranked 13th within the group of 49 countries we follow in terms of production of motor vehicles, 3 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
