Historically, production of dates in Qatar reached an all time high of 31,182 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 2,700 tonnes in 1978. When compared to Qatar's main peers, production of dates in Bahrain amounted to 14,100 tonnes, 1,303,717 tonnes in Iran, 1,565,830 tonnes in Saudi Arabia and 351,077 tonnes in United Arab Emirates in 2021.
