Production of dates rose 2.02% to 750,225 tonnes in Iraq in 2021, according to Faostat.
Historically, production of dates in Iraq reached an all time high of 932,000 tonnes in 2000 and an all time low of 251,440 tonnes in 1984. When compared to Iraq's main peers, production of dates in Iran amounted to 1,303,717 tonnes, 108,113 tonnes in Kuwait, 1,565,830 tonnes in Saudi Arabia and 2,857 tonnes in Syria in 2021.
