Historically, production of dates in Oman reached an all time high of 376,850 tonnes in 2019 and an all time low of 40,000 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Oman's main peers, production of dates in Iran amounted to 1,303,717 tonnes, 1,565,830 tonnes in Saudi Arabia, 351,077 tonnes in United Arab Emirates and 59,619 tonnes in Yemen in 2021.
