Production of cars per 1,000 people fell 18.0% to 42.4 vehicles in Hungary in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, production of cars per 1,000 people in Hungary reached an all time high of 53.5 vehicles in 2016 and an all time low of 0.772 vehicles in 1992. When compared to Hungary's main peers, production of cars per 1,000 people in Austria amounted to 12.2 vehicles, 108 vehicles in Czech Republic, 7.49 vehicles in Poland and 185 vehicles in Slovakia in 2020.
Hungary has been ranked 7th within the group of 50 countries we follow in terms of production of cars per 1,000 people, 9 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
