Production of cars as a share of worldwide production fell 33.0% to 1.66% in France in 2020, according to ACEA.

Historically, production of cars as a share of worldwide production in France reached an all time high of 7.99% in 2001 and an all time low of 1.66% in 2020. When compared to France's main peers, production of cars as a share of worldwide production in Belgium amounted to 0.425%, 6.30% in Germany, 0.809% in Italy and 3.23% in Spain in 2020.
