Historically, pork meat consumption per capita in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of 2.53 kg in 2009 and an all time low of 0.520 kg in 2018. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, pork meat consumption per capita in Botswana amounted to 0.420 kg, 3.89 kg in Mozambique, 5.66 kg in South Africa and 1.87 kg in Zambia in 2021.
