Historically, population over 65 years old as a percentage of total population in Armenia reached an all time high of 13.2% in 2022 and an all time low of 4.87% in 1966. When compared to Armenia's main peers, population over 65 years old as a percentage of total population in Azerbaijan amounted to 7.93%, 17.5% in Georgia, 7.50% in Iran and 9.98% in Turkey in 2022.
