Population in cities of more than 1 million rose 2.59% to 1.59 mil in Oman in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, population in cities of more than 1 million in Oman reached an all time high of 1.59 mil in 2021 and an all time low of 0.014 mil in 1960. When compared to Oman's main peers, population in cities of more than 1 million in Iran amounted to 22.2 mil, 17.0 mil in Saudi Arabia, 6.17 mil in United Arab Emirates and 3.08 mil in Yemen in 2021.
