Piraeus Bank Group generated total banking revenues of EUR 605 mil in the fourth quarter of 2015, up 8.23% when compared to the same period of last year and down 5.54% when compared to the previous quarter.
Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of EUR 781 mil in 2Q2014 and an all time low of EUR -18.2 mil in 4Q2011. The average revenue in the last six quarters amounted to EUR 594 mil.
Net interest income represented 76.6% of total revenues, fee income contributed 13.0% and other non-interest income added further 10.4% to the overall revenue generation in 4Q2015.
Bank's total revenues accounted for 2.76% total assets in the fourth quarter of 2015, up from 2.50% a year earlier.
When compared to bank's main peers, National Bank of Greece generated total revenues of 1.88% of assets in 4Q2015 Alpha Bank Group operated with 3.67% revenue margin and Eurobank Group produced total income worth 2.60% of assets.
