Historically, petroleum consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Kenya reached an all time high of 0.105% in 2015 and an all time low of 0.055% in 1991. When compared to Kenya's main peers, petroleum consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Ethiopia amounted to 0.068%, 0.006% in Somalia, 0.071% in Tanzania and 0.027% in Uganda in 2015.
