Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 3.50% to 791 vehicles in Brunei in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Brunei reached an all time high of 791 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 209 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Brunei's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Indonesia amounted to 58.7 vehicles, 417 vehicles in Malaysia, 32.0 vehicles in Philippines and 24.7 vehicles in Vietnam in 2019.
