Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 3.50% to 131 vehicles in the World in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in the World reached an all time high of 131 vehicles in 2015 and an all time low of 100 vehicles in 2005. When compared to World's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in China amounted to 97.9 vehicles, 550 vehicles in Germany, 485 vehicles in Japan and 379 vehicles in USA in 2015.
