Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 2.65% to 58.7 vehicles in Indonesia in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Indonesia reached an all time high of 58.7 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 22.6 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Indonesia's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Australia amounted to 572 vehicles, 417 vehicles in Malaysia, 32.0 vehicles in Philippines and 115 vehicles in Singapore in 2019.
