Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 2.57% to 33.4 vehicles in Sri Lanka in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 33.4 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 18.4 vehicles in 2006.

Sri Lanka has been ranked 100th within the group of 135 countries we follow in terms of passenger cars per 1,000 people, 9 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
