Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 2.07% to 149 vehicles in Turkey in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Turkey reached an all time high of 149 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 2.43 vehicles in 1963. When compared to Turkey's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Bulgaria amounted to 493 vehicles, 481 vehicles in Greece, 49.1 vehicles in Iraq and 175 vehicles in Iran in 2019.
