Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Panama reached an all time high of 144 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 77.6 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Panama's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Colombia amounted to 67.9 vehicles, 181 vehicles in Costa Rica, 4.91 vehicles in Honduras and 19.2 vehicles in Nicaragua in 2019.
