Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 1.79% to 54.9 vehicles in Egypt in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Egypt reached an all time high of 54.9 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 29.3 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Egypt's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Israel amounted to 341 vehicles, 368 vehicles in Libya, 156 vehicles in Saudi Arabia and 1.26 vehicles in Sudan in 2019.
