Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 1.70% to 231 vehicles in Mexico in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Mexico reached an all time high of 231 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 129 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Mexico's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Belize amounted to 56.7 vehicles, 43.7 vehicles in Guatemala, 4.91 vehicles in Honduras and 360 vehicles in USA in 2019.
