Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Ecuador reached an all time high of 63.8 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 38.5 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Ecuador's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Brazil amounted to 193 vehicles, 67.9 vehicles in Colombia, 144 vehicles in Panama and 50.6 vehicles in Peru in 2019.
