Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 1.32% to 4.63 vehicles in Tanzania in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Tanzania reached an all time high of 4.63 vehicles in 2015 and an all time low of 0.824 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Kenya amounted to 18.3 vehicles, 11.2 vehicles in Mozambique, 3.77 vehicles in Uganda and 16.2 vehicles in Zambia in 2015.
