Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 1.10% to 337 vehicles in Hungary in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Hungary reached an all time high of 337 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 187 vehicles in 1990. When compared to Hungary's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Austria amounted to 573 vehicles, 504 vehicles in Czech Republic, 600 vehicles in Poland and 410 vehicles in Slovakia in 2019.
