Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Belgium reached an all time high of 516 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 213 vehicles in 1970. When compared to Belgium's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in France amounted to 497 vehicles, 559 vehicles in Germany, 710 vehicles in Luxembourg and 515 vehicles in Netherlands in 2019.
