Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 0.369% to 483 vehicles in Spain in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Spain reached an all time high of 489 vehicles in 2008 and an all time low of 148 vehicles in 1970. When compared to Spain's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in France amounted to 497 vehicles, 627 vehicles in Italy, 80.2 vehicles in Morocco and 447 vehicles in Portugal in 2019.
