Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 0.202% to 675 vehicles in Iceland in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Iceland reached an all time high of 682 vehicles in 2007 and an all time low of 438 vehicles in 1994. When compared to Iceland's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Denmark amounted to 438 vehicles, 516 vehicles in Norway, 488 vehicles in Sweden and 531 vehicles in United Kingdom in 2019.
