Historically, old age dependency ratio in Malta reached an all time high of 33.4% in 2022 and an all time low of 9.73% in 1950. When compared to Malta's main peers, old age dependency ratio in Greece amounted to 35.0%, 37.4% in Italy, 14.5% in Tunisia and 14.2% in Turkey in 2022.
