Number of passenger cars rose 2.62% to 6.57 mil in Taiwan in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of passenger cars in Taiwan reached an all time high of 6.57 mil in 2015 and an all time low of 5.63 mil in 2005. When compared to Taiwan's main peers, number of passenger cars in China amounted to 136 mil, 0.540 mil in Hong Kong and 3.36 mil in Philippines in 2015.

Taiwan has been ranked 25th within the group of 137 countries we follow in terms of number of passenger cars, 4 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
