Number of motor vehicles rose 2.59% to 0.380 mil in Tanzania in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of motor vehicles in Tanzania reached an all time high of 0.380 mil in 2015 and an all time low of 0.082 mil in 2005. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, number of motor vehicles in Kenya amounted to 1.38 mil, 0.400 mil in Mozambique, 0.490 mil in Uganda and 0.370 mil in Zambia in 2015.

Tanzania has been ranked 114th within the group of 137 countries we follow in terms of number of motor vehicles, 18 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
