Historically, sales of manufactured cigarettes in pieces in Slovakia reached an all time high of 9,700 mil in 1999 and an all time low of 6,300 mil in 2003. When compared to Slovakia's main peers, sales of manufactured cigarettes in pieces in Austria amounted to 12,630 mil, 20,500 mil in Czech Republic, 7,440 mil in Hungary and 41,330 mil in Poland in 2016.
