Number of manufactured cigarettes sold per day per capita of 15+ years rose 1.56% to 2.42 per day in Hungary in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per day per capita of 15+ years in Hungary reached an all time high of 9.44 per day in 1990 and an all time low of 2.39 per day in 2015. When compared to Hungary's main peers, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per day per capita of 15+ years in Austria amounted to 4.72 per day, 6.16 per day in Czech Republic, 3.51 per day in Poland and 4.06 per day in Slovakia in 2016.
