Number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old fell 4.29% to 1,097 per year in Belgium in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in Belgium reached an all time high of 2,693 per year in 1973 and an all time low of 1,097 per year in 2016. When compared to Belgium's main peers, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in France amounted to 841 per year, 1,091 per year in Germany, 6,196 per year in Luxembourg and 721 per year in Netherlands in 2016.
