Number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old fell 1.80% to 841 per year in France in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in France reached an all time high of 2,202 per year in 1985 and an all time low of 841 per year in 2016. When compared to France's main peers, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in Belgium amounted to 1,097 per year, 1,091 per year in Germany, 1,370 per year in Italy and 1,162 per year in Spain in 2016.
