Non-performing loans rose 10.4% to USD 6.02 bil in Malaysia in 2017, according to the National Central Bank.
Historically, non-performing loans in Malaysia reached an all time high of USD 14.2 bil in 2006 and an all time low of USD 5.38 bil in 2015.
Malaysia has been ranked 23rd within the group of 89 countries we follow in terms of non-performing loans, 12 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
