Non-performing loans as a share of bank loans rose 26.9% yoy to 1.61% in Germany in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 2.54% more than in the previous quarter.
Historically, non-performing loans as a share of bank loans in Germany reached an all time high of 1.61% in 2Q2024 and an all time low of 1.22% in 1Q2023.
Germany has been ranked 45th within the group of 58 countries we follow in terms of non-performing loans as a share of bank loans, 45 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
