Non-performing loans as a share of bank loans rose 12.5% yoy to 2.21% in Latvia in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 4.22% less than in the previous quarter.
Historically, non-performing loans as a share of bank loans in Latvia reached an all time high of 15.9% in 4Q2010 and an all time low of 1.97% in 2Q2023.
Latvia has been ranked 38th within the group of 62 countries we follow in terms of non-performing loans as a share of bank loans, 11 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
