Non-performing loans as a share of bank loans fell 4.26% yoy to 3.64% in Bulgaria in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 2.92% less than in the previous quarter.
Historically, non-performing loans as a share of bank loans in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 14.7% in 1Q2016 and an all time low of 3.62% in 4Q2023.
Bulgaria has been ranked 18th within the group of 62 countries we follow in terms of non-performing loans as a share of bank loans, 18 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
