Non-performing loans as a share of bank loans fell 16.1% yoy to 2.08% in Azerbaijan in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 1.11% less than in the previous quarter.
Historically, non-performing loans as a share of bank loans in Azerbaijan reached an all time high of 3.05% in 1Q2022 and an all time low of 1.93% in 4Q2023.
Azerbaijan has been ranked 52nd within the group of 80 countries we follow in terms of non-performing loans as a share of bank loans, 52 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
