Historically, five years cumulative net migration in Myanmar reached an all time high of 18,850 persons in 1965 and an all time low of -186,225 persons in 2006. When compared to Myanmar's main peers, five years cumulative net migration in China amounted to -200,194 persons, -301,970 persons in India, -10,303 persons in Laos and 1,133 persons in Thailand in 2021.
