Historically, five years cumulative net migration in the European Union reached an all time high of 1,682,488 persons in 2007 and an all time low of -234,924 persons in 1960. When compared to European Union's main peers, five years cumulative net migration in China amounted to -200,194 persons, 87,584 persons in Japan, 320,617 persons in Russia and 561,580 persons in USA in 2021.
